Life Update...

So.. Robert is thinking of a job change once again. Army.. or Pepsi.. what a decision huh? I would rather him join the Navy or Air Force. My dad was in the Navy and yes, I was a Navy Brat. Time seemed to pass quickly with my dad. But, who knows, it's up to him and I will stand by his side no matter what he decides. He would go in as an Officer, after going through officer training. So that's better than entering as enlisted. We will see and I will keep you updated.

In the mean time.. Happy heiny diapers SUCK!! not as bad as OsoCozy brand. OhKaty is such a wonderful brand and you will be so spoiled with the ease and convience of the flap holding the insert in. and the fabric is completely amazing. My son has serious poo when he goes that stains a few diapers... NEVER has stained the OhKaty! Anyway.. thats my thought about the new diapers we got. Off to love on my sweet chubby baby and talk jobs with the hubby.

Some things to rant about...

I don't really understand why some women and men absolutely restrict their spouses. I know this one guy with a wife that is so strict with him that he can't have female friendships unless she approves! Come one now.. this is ridiculous.
I trust my husband with my life and if he wants to go out with his female friends, call them, go to a movie, he doesn't need my permission!!  My husband married me because he loves me, and we have such a wonderful trusting relationship. We trust one another no matter what.
I just don't understand women who restrict their husbands or husbands who restrict their wife. Come on couples!! Don't get married if you have some issues that you would think your husband or wife would leave you in a flash if he or she hung out with the opposite sex!! Friendships are important no matter what the sex of the friend is.

Robert clicks with women better when it comes to friendships and I click with men better when it comes to friendships. I am able to go to clubs and dance with anyone guilt free and the same for my husband. My husband is still in contact with his ex girlfriends (even though some I do not like.. but I get over that and say oh well.. she is his friend not mine.. lol) , and I still talk to mine... really what is the big deal??? I have never cheated on my husband and never plan to. He has never cheated on me and never plans to. Let your spouse have friendships and trust the vows you took when you said them....

What do you think about this issue? Do you trust your spouse with the opposite sex? Would you allow him or her to hang out with their ex's even when your not around even if you do not like them? How much do you think you should trust your spouse? I see this all the time.. just how secure are you with your marriage?

What a wonderful time...

Theres nothing I love more than spending time with the whole family here at home. Saturday's are our family nights. We pick a family movie, tonight was Shrek Forever After, and we order the Papa Johns 2 Pizzas, buffalo wings, and 4 drink bundle and spend quality time together. Tonight my son Ethan made my heart melt into a puddle when he said, "Mommy, I like this." I was a bit confused and asked him, "What is it you like Ethan? The pizza?" and in reply, "No silly Mommy, I like us being together with the pizza and movie." Coming from a four year old with a huge loving heart! He is such a blessing along with his sweet smiling brother, Peyton. We all piled up in the living room floor, food spread across in front of us, and each using each other as a prop for our head or feet as we ate and watched the movie. Sweet times I hope they will remember forever, because I know I surely will and hope they continue on!!

"Trash"

Who would of knew such a simple word can make a mom and dad excited and all giddy!? Robert and I were at the mall today with Peyton after dropping Ethan of at preschool. While daddy was at Dicks Sporting Goods checking out, Me and Peyton went outside to wait at a bench. As soon as I pushed his stroller up to the bench in front of where I sat, he stuck out his index finger and pointed at a trash can. He says "trash".
I was so shocked! Too shocked to grab our Flip camera. (WHICH by the way is the greatest camera ever!! Small compact for on the go, easy and quick turn on and power up, one click record button, AND an awesome picture/color quality. We have a handheld video camera, and I prefer my Flip to it any day!! SO perfect for on the go especially!!! Now, go out and buy one and prove me wrong! lol).
He sat there and said it hundreds of times in a row. "Trash. Trash. Trash. Trash..." then I said the word. I think it made him tickled that we actually communicated.  He said a real ordinary word for the first time!! Other than "Mommy" and "Daddy". "Trash" of all things too. It was cute. No, it was BEYOND cute! Of course he wouldn't say it when his daddy walked up, so daddy walked behind us as we passed another trash can and he heard him say "trash. trash."
Being a parent, you get to experience the thrill of small things such as a baby saying the word "trash."

Go Long! Go Green! Giveaway!!

Click here to read the review!!!  (http://longfamilychronicles.blogspot.com/2011/01/champ-gogreen-pocket-diaper-review-and.html)

It is definitely the first I have seen like this, one of a kind!!
Allyson's Blog has been such a great help to my family, and she is such a wonderful person with lots of information!! If you haven't read her reviews yet, then head on over to her blog. I promise You will keep on reading and reading and reading and reading, and get soo many ideas !!

A bit of insight..

So, I have been using pre fold diapers, pins and a diaper cover forever now.  My husband HATES changing them, he thinks they are nasty. In his case yes, they can be very gross since you actually have to touch them. So, after seeing what other moms suggest, we decided to buy AIO diapers. The most expensive option, but fits our life style the absolute best!!
We now have a total of 8 all in one diapers, size large. (when they say large they mean LARGE. I went by the weight of my son.. they fit perfect, but sooo huge!!!) We have aquired 3 Bumpkins, 1 Drybees Hybrid, and 4 OsoCozy. Out of the three, DRYBEES HYBRID is the absolute best!! We have to use coin laundry machines and dryers. The others (including the pre fold clothes oddly) are still pretty damp after one dry cycle, and have the icky oder.
But, the Drybees diaper doesn't carry an oder AND it dries with one cycle. Oh how I wish I got more drybees. They also fit so perfectly on his bum and clothes look nice over it. Drybee's is a heavenly diaper for over night as well. Next runner up would be the OsoCozy All In One brand. I LOVE the fit of these too, not as much as drybees, but enough to buy more. These are the ones I got at seven dollars each!! Great absorbent, but horrible in the dryer. They came out the wettest. But as far as soaking up the pee and fitting comfortably, they are pretty perfect in that area.
I am so glad we decided to switch to All In One diapers, my husband loves them as much as I do. So much easier to maintain and change. Peyton loves them too, he doesn't have to wait as long since we don't have to take the time to the pins, tuck, stuff, and cover. I think the next brand we are getting in the mail is Mommy's Touch all in ones. I love Drybees so much, I'm thinking of canceling and ordering more Drybees!! But, must be fair and try Mommy's Touch. I do wish we got One Size on them all. Because I love All in Ones so much, that I am going to have to get Sizes small and medium for our next little bean. So we must start now, buy one each payday.. two a month. So by the time our next baby gets here.. we will have plenty enough!! (estimating 3-4 years, lol, if your wondering!)

Yes, I want more than just my two babies. I am a firm believer of the old bible saying "be fruitful and multiply" and of course "don't play God". I feel that birth control methods are a form of playing God. You prevent the natural reproducing way that God has intended for us. Why not just let what happens happen? It's hard for me to have a child, so my two little boys were God's blessing. He saw it fit for us to have them when we did. I know I was 18 when Ethan was born, but Ethan changed my life, and so did Peyton. THey have given me so much. I know this sounds funny and ridiculous, but they have taught me. Showed me patience, forgiveness, and to be more laid back to enjoy life. I love my children more than anything in my life, besides God of course. God is the one who gave them to me.

Things I will do this year that I typically don't do:

*Park in the furthest parking space available instead of being selfish and taking a closer one. The elderly deserve those, and I am only 23 so... it's polite and good for us.

*Eat more organics. I already barely eat fast food unless it is Moto's or something that doesn't make me feel greasy fat. So why not go a step further? Organic here I come.

*Drink water. I never, I mean NEVER drink water. it makes me feel so icky and sick at the stomach, drowning like. Although I do drink more juices and milk than soft drinks, I think I will attempt to drink 2 bottles of water daily.

*See my friends and family more often. Last year, I always made excuses not to go somewhere. Well, it is hard with two kids alone, but completely manageable. I was always afraid of them destroying other peoples homes like ours. Reality... they treat others more respectfully than their own. Odd huh? I will make more of an effort to go visit people, or meet people for events. This year -WILL- rock.

*This one is funny. CLEAN MORE. I am a bit lazy. After going to classes daily, and taking care of two kids, I'd rather lay back and sleep, play video games, or watch tv shows/movies rather than do the dishes or wipe the counter tops (some cases even homework, lol). Everything else will come before my relaxation.

*Get outside more. This is a given. I have kids, so you'd think I'd be outside every day. Truth be told, I HATE being outside almost all the time. We always get eat up with mosquito bites no matter how much repellent we use. We must have irresistible sweet blood. But, having a million itchy bites on myself and the kids is sooo irritating!!

All together, I think these are sensible resolutions for 2011. SO all I have left to say now is.. hello 2011 here we come!!!
